Housing Day 2025: What Kind of Living Space Are Latvians Looking For?
On October 17, the annual HOUSING DAY 2025 took place at the SPICE shopping center, organised by LANĪDA in cooperation with Citadele Bank. This event became one of the most significant autumn gatherings in the real estate sector—both for industry professionals and for anyone searching for or planning to purchase a new home.
💡 Purpose – to connect, inform and guide
The aim of the event was to bring together both professionals and residents in one place, creating an open environment where visitors could ask questions, receive clear answers, and explore the latest trends in the real estate market.
Visitors had the opportunity to:
Receive free consultations from LANĪDA-certified agents and Citadele experts
Learn about new residential project offerings
Meet ReLive representatives and agents in person
Explore mortgage solutions best tailored to their needs
Join discussions and activities highlighting current market and lifestyle trends
Location – t/c SPICE, IKEA coworking space
The event was held in IKEA’s coworking area, offering a friendly, professional, and highly dynamic atmosphere — from one-on-one conversations to interactive presentations. Every hour, attendees gathered at the stands to ask questions that previously seemed confusing or unclear.
Direct, face-to-face contact with experts became one of the biggest advantages of Housing Day, as each visitor’s needs were listened to, and the first steps toward solutions were taken right on the spot.
🗣️ Online Discussion: “Living Space 2025”
One of the key highlights was the online panel discussion “Living Space 2025: What Kind of Home Do Latvians Choose?”
The panel explored:
changes in lifestyle habits
sustainable construction,
shifting societal values that increasingly influence the housing choices people make.
Discussion Participants:
Artis Zeiļa, Mortgage Lending Expert, Citadele Bank
Līga Plaude-Stukovenko, LANĪDA & Vestabalt Board Member
Kaspars Roga, Residential Portfolio Manager, Eften Capital
Indra Eglīte, IKEA B2B Project Manager
Ina Stupele, Deputy Chair of Sigulda Municipality
Helvijs Ervalds, CEO, Modern House
The discussion was moderated by Aigars Šmits, Chairman of LANĪDA’s Board, ensuring a structured yet dynamic exchange of ideas.
RELIVE's Participation
RELIVE provided on-site consultations and represented its expertise in both residential and commercial real estate. Their presence helped deepen discussions about home selection, financing, and the risks associated with the buying process. As a practical partner, ReLive supported both event visitors and companies presenting their projects in the exhibition.
Housing Market – Gaining Momentum
Housing Day 2025 took place during a period of increasing activity in the Latvian real estate market—buyers were returning, new project developers were offering fresh opportunities, and banks were becoming more flexible with financing.
The event demonstrated that interest in purchasing a home has not decreased—it has simply become more targeted. Buyers are more informed, more cautious, and focused on long-term value, not just square meters.
